This was our second week at the new diner. The delightful person who waited our table, Victoria, came with experience to this new diner. It is in the location of what was another local hang out. The decor is new and fun, music 50s/60s but not obtrusive, there is a pleasant diner vibe, but not overly slick like some American chains. The food was good, prices reasonable, AC working on very hot day( but they need blinds), it was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. - suemB4875UR
Cute rooms, nice staff, good food, great value, awesome neighbourhood. A staycation favourite! Comfortable beds, spacious, loved the record player and kitchenette, we got a room with a balcony which was nice for fresh air. Nice and quiet, surprisingly! Riverdale is an awesome area with great shops, and a little further and you’re in Leslieville, with eclectic food and shopping. The best place to stay in the East end. - rebeccagO6571FT
A very nice boutique hotel, the sparkling & still water in the hallway is such a nice touch. The record player is so cool. The room was clean and cute. The bathroom was beautiful & all of the soaps and lotion on the wall was very convenient. I will definitely visit again and recommend to friends & family. - TravelMI04

Around the corner from all the luxury stores and well located in general. Room was nice; maybe a bit understated or basic for the brand. But, the service was really great — consistently there to open doors, greet you, and super responsive via text message. Overall a very pleasant business stay and I would be happy to come back, mainly due to the staff. - mdriess
We had a standard room that exceeded expectation on every level starting with the layout which was not your standard set up. The mini bar, Nespresso machine and drinks cabinet in the 'entrance lobby was a classy touch and the bathroom was beautifully designed and finished with a huge walk in rain shower.
The good quality bluetooth speaker was another big plus as were the low lights that came on if you needed the bathroom in the middle of the night.
Every member of staff was always polite and always helpful and went out of their way if you needed advice or directions on where to go in Toronto.
Perfectly positioned for the Museum, Casa Loma and a really swish shopping district. Jump on the Metro at Museum station and you can be at Union (for the CN Tower, Aquarium, Blue Jays Stadium etc.) in 15 mins. - Crossbadger
We stayed at the Hyatt on a family trip to Toronto. The staff was very professional and friendly. The property was very modern, clean, and conveniently located near shops and Wholefood. I highly recommend this property! - 127calvinl

Loved this art filled hotel. Totally enjoyed every nook and cranny. The restaurant, café, sky bar were all terrific. The Malin & Goetz Bath products were wonderful as were the dispensers. I would def return to this hotel. - cheryll111
You must reserve parking in advance, as they do not have adequate space. We parked a block away and it was about the same price. Everyone was so accommodating adn friendly, the bar and restaurant are patronized by regulars and locals, in addition to hotel guests and the food was really good. The area is still in development, but there are lots of great spots to dine within walking distance. Most things you'd want to visit as a tourist are not walkable and driving there is a nightmare. Parking gets pricey too, nowhere is it free, - bucksbabe1720
I just have to give all of my appreciation to this hotel. I received a phone call from Tarrin today regarding my stay. I had booked this hotel through Expedia. We had an out of province family emergency and in all the chaos and stress I completely forgot to cancel my reservation. I sent an email to the hotel explaining my situation and received a phone call today saying the would reverse all charges. I cannot explain how grateful and appreciative I am. Top notch compassion and customer service. I will not hesitate to book here again. Once again thank you. - F6144BUamberh

Stayed at the one bedroom suite and it was beautiful. Great views of the city and very spacious rooms. It ticked off everything for a good quality hotel experience. There's lots to do within the hotel as well (like cinema theatre and great restaurants/bars) - bilianabg
We got married in 2019 at Hotel X and we can't describe how happy we were with everything. From the professionalism of the staff, customer service, the beauty of the hotel, the food, the views, even the smell, everything was perfect.
We just had our one year anniversary stay and were blown away. We stayed in one of their magnificent corner King Suites overlooking the CN tower, downtown core, Toronto islands and Lake Ontario. We enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and lots of room service (which was delicious).
If you are looking for a cozy staycation at an incredible hotel, you will not be disappointed!! We can't wait to go back. - Travelbug888888

W Hotels does it again! I love the look, vibe and experience at W properties so was naturally inclined to stay at the first W in Ontario. I highly recommend this hotel for people traveling with families. The front desk staff (Priscilla) along with the whenever/wherever team (Curtis & Angelica), went above and beyond to make the stay memorable for my family. We celebrated a birthday here and they were so kind to give our children treats and make them feel special by giving them a card and decorating our room. Everyone from the valet to security team went out of their way to say hello and seemed genuinely happy to be there. The room was spacious, with comfortable beds and located right in the heart of Yorkville. We can’t wait to come back. In the sea of sameness that are hotels, W Toronto is a clear standout. - williamsO8311UW
Wow, hi tech, well thought out and just a neat place. From the retro Frigidaire to the curtains that close after a tug, everything is brand new, high end and functional. Outdoors in the 9th floor restaurant is great but you will need reservations. Connected to the Bloor subway station with zero street noise, The staff fit the place and are eager to help - eric_t185
Well despite a couple of so so reviews we stayed at this beautifully located hotel…first the area is spectacular with loads of shopping and restaurants and near the ROM.
Checkin was easy and the staff very friendly. Our room was smallish but fantastic with an amazing view. Breakfast was terrific and again the staff very friendly. But the roof top on a nice evening was absolutely the topper. Yes give this a try!,, - C8691AFrandym

Safe, friendly, comfortable, clean.... spent a wonderful time here. Beds are large and comfy, showers great. The whole place has a lovely, chilled vibe. Staff are really friendly and happy to help in any way they can. The whole place is cleaned daily. Spacious communal areas and their roof top is amazing. Really reasonable price, oh and breakfast included and available till 2pm!!! Recommend 1000%. 🙂 - Meander510876
Best hostel I've stayed at in years. Julie who checked me in was lovely, also had a great time chatting to Anthony the owner at (free) breakfast in the morning.
Comfy, clean, friendly. Enough space that you can chill by yourself if you need to but also the perfect place to meet people. Rooftop bar/social area! Reception area with a fireplace, comfy couches and a TV, always people to chat to. Big kitchen, plenty of seating. Wish I could've stayed longer than one night! I'll be back again one day. - 168lachies

We arrived at the Hazelton Hotel too early to check in! The welcoming receptionist asked us if we would mind having lunch in the restaurant and that our room would be ready by the time we finished eating. They came and let us know that our room was ready. Every member of staff was so accommodating and welcoming from the moment we arrived until they had put our luggage in the car to take us to the airport. I have never had that experience before. We loved everything about The Hazelton from the service to the bed linen to the general ambiance, and of course the position, right in the heart of Yorkeville. - susansF2847HL
Location was simply perfect for our first visit to Toronto.
The hotel design was spectacular in every way (but honestly for the price I was expecting nothing less).
What sets this hotel far apart from its competitors, locally and globally, is the service. From pulling up to the valet and from every moment beyond we were simply blown away by the attention to detail. Our pillow preference, the way we like the temperature set, the COOKIES, the fact that we have 3 last names in our family and they addressed us all properly (no easy fete), help with everything and anything, welcoming our brand new granddaughter with as much excitement as we had and on and on and on!
The ONE restaurant also truly exceeded our expectations. We are extensive travelers and former food industry employees (a lifetime ago but the passion is still there) and frankly tend to not favor hotel restaurants. Even at the highest end they are usually necessary amenities and nothing ultimately exciting. You must ignore the price point (which is very high) and dive in. The menu is thoughtful and current without being trendy and is executed to perfection. We had 5 meals there in our 4 days and honestly couldn't even rate which was best.
Special thanks to Angela and Alejandra who made us feel more like family, (very honored and treasured family, mind you) than simply hotel guests. Regards to the entire team, day, night and everyone in between as well. We are forever grateful and look forward to coming back. - diannavecchio
My husband and I stayed at The Hazelton in September of 2022.
Our experience was above and beyond what we imagined.
We were treated like a King and Queen. Our room was beautiful and luxurious, and our dinner and breakfast at ONE Restaurant were perfect. The pool and spa were incredibly relaxing.
The staff was really what stood out. I think that's what separates The Hazelton from the rest. They were incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our Anniversary special.
We can't wait to go back and do it all over again.
Unforgettable! - HVioletArt

Celebrated a milestone at Bisha with my friends. My stay was seamless from start to finish with outstanding service and amenities. Views are unparalleled but the service is what makes Bisha the best in Toronto. Kost was excellent with fresh flavours-the calamari is a favourite. The pool area is relaxing and refreshing-great cocktail list. Cannot wait to return to Bisha again. - Siasjourneys
Had an excellent time at Bisha. It was our anniversary and Karan made sure we had a good time. He was kind enough to give us a complimentary upgrade to a bette room. Will definitely visit again.

We stayed as 3 couples each in a Deluxe K with Club Access. Well appointed rooms with good storage and well lit bathrooms (didn’t love the pillows but never asked for a change. If I had, no doubt it would have been accommodated). Great amenities. Everything you would expect of a premier Ritz. However, the Staff made it EXCEPTIONAL. From the front desk to the Club Lounge, the staff could not do more to make us comfortable. The lounge was very well stocked, many great options with good food offerings and a well stocked bar. Well laid out and never felt crowded. Views were amazing. Checking staff was excellent. Despite our status, hotel was full and we weren’t upgraded but we didn’t really need it. Location is very central to everything. My only gripe (minor) was the Doorman. They were not attentive or as helpful as we are accustomed to at a Ritz. Wasn’t consequential for a two day stay. Spa was nice and relaxing. Massage was good. - rimavh
The Ritz-Carlton Visit,
So we had another great stay at The Ritz, this time for my birthday, my wife was unable to join us so it was just myself and my daughter.
We had decided this time to get the corner suite, initially without the club lounge access.
After booking Shea from Guest Experiences had reached out to me, offering suggestions, booking us in to the newly opened Epoch, also bookings for TOCA as well pre booked, I had a lot of interaction with Shea prior to arrival.
This was a new experience for us, a lot of text comms on booking and checking on our itineraries etc as well as emails going back and forward, which was a very nice touch. Pre-booking reservations I think is a great idea.
After a long Friday night drive through downtown traffic, we arrived fairly late and I checked in with Elizabeth, as I was checking in I was surprised, pleasantly surprised to be greeted by GM Mr. Guillame Benezach who came over to welcome us and say hi.
It was great seeing him again and he had gone through great lengths (through our comms) in putting wheels in motion to ensure our stay was great.
Now, it had been some years that we had the suite and something was amiss, the room seemed a bit too dark although it was night time and some of the facilities in the room which were previously in the last suite, such as the TV in the bathroom mirrors and heated bathroom floors, also the dividing door was gone.
It also looked like the mini-bar/honour bar had gone and a new design of what appeared to be an old style traveling case in place albeit with in-built mini fridge, tea and coffee station.
Perhaps there is no demand for this anymore? Although I must admit having a full stocked honor bar is an awesome feeling but I guess people may just be asking an empty fridge to put their own drinks and candy’s in there.
I also guess it makes things easier.
The writing desk was also not in the main bedroom but in the joining section in-between the bedroom and the sitting area however it did have a built in make-up mirror/light with plug points in there, so fine for doing your make up, but no good for working and a bit weird that there were no power points at the desk top.
I’m not sure if I could have routed my laptop to those points but I found some at floor level
As a rewards member we had free wifi and it was fast and we were both able to watch youtube on both my own laptop and the TV’s. We had a couple of movie nights and pop-corn to boot which was fantastic.
But I couldn’t still get the feeling that this was not quite right, I did want my daughter who didn’t remember her last trip to be as wowed and amazed as I was.
Although that said she was actually amazed at the whole room saying how awesome the suite was and her jaw totally dropped on entering the room.
Still, I went down to have a chat with Elizabeth who really understood what my concerns where and in true Ritz form, was 100% customer focused on trying to help out. I knew this experience could be better.
At this point I met Shea for the first time, who had a lovely gift for my daughter and did explain the main changes in the Ritz and the room redesign but did want me to be happy with my room choices so she suggested a higher floor.
I also reconsidered my option for the club lounge.
Now this room had a totally different feel, much brighter and it was then that I realised that although the room layout was the same it was actually a brighter, lighter colour carpet that was different. This brightens up the room no end also the higher floor gave more light to the room the view was better and bingo like that we were set. (so tip one, you do need a higher floor, 19 or higher).
Both Shea and Elizabeth really made my concerns not seem over the top, you are paying good money and they want you to be happy with the product. I remember apologizing profusely, I felt like some diva who wasn’t getting what she wanted LOL but no, they totally understood and wanted everything to be right, everything to be up to Ritz standard.
We dined at Epoch that evening it was great to see Carleen and the food was out of this world.
We decided to get best bang for our buck by doing 2 full days of club lounge and to be honest, you really have to think, when you do the math, the club lounge IS WELL WORTH it, you basically have food offerings 5 times a day.
Unlimited soft drinks and alcohol, you are staying at a 5 star hotel, when you think for 2 people what you are paying for club lounge you are ACTUALLY saving money but it’s NOT just the food and drink offerings.
You are paying for a little piece of relaxation you are dining in style, a beautiful view of the lake, attentive staff this…THIS you cannot put a dollar figure to the staff are able to secure discounts on attractions, make you out of this world cocktails, fantastic cappuccino’s, they offer suggestions and more !
You have to understand, YES you can go out and get a $20 breakfast BUT you are here to relax, enjoy and be pampered, this is what you don’t see when look at prices when booking. From Saturday to Monday we were pretty much stuffed with all the little food offerings.
Often nipping up to grab a coffee, a candy or a pop, almost like nipping into your very own BUT well stocked kitchen for a bite to eat, and taking back some bagels or a pastry to your room after breakfast is a must.
For the real true Ritz experience if you DO NOT GO club lounge you are missing out.
This time round we didn’t go Toca, the offerings were not really to my taste, all though they all sounded exquisite, my daughter was more keen on going out and hitting the night life, although I knew the service would not be the same, my birthday dinner at Moxies which is just across the street was very "lackluster" but when you have an 11 year old fine dining is not really what they are after.
Maybe next time. However we made it back to the lounge and Olga made a fantastic take on a Cosmo for me and of course who birthday needs cake when you have The Ritz desserts.
I’m not sure why the Ritz Bar was closed, but that was a really nice buzzing place. Very bright and vibrant, a nice place for breakfast and lunch and to hang out in, maybe Epoch is the new Ritz Bar ? but as we had the club lounge we didn’t miss out.
My daughter of course LOVED the hot tub and swimming pool and it was just great to relax, the remit for this weekend was RELAX, get pampered and celebrate, my wife def missed out on this weekend.
Although there were some glitches and I do mean, very minor ones, the overall experience you just cannot beat, one thing that The Ritz has, it has fantastic grade A customer service EVERYONE you meet from the front door guy’s, the bell, the valets are all totally awesome I mean where else will you see a hotel GM come and greet you.
Where else will you see guest experience staff who REALLY DO want to make your experience great. I’ve been to The Ritz now 5 times, by far my most favourite place to stay and relax. It is more expensive than most hotels but you have to understand this is a 5 Star hotel, If you can’t finance a suite go for a deluxe guest room you won’t be disappointed. If a suite YOU must get a high floor.
And you MUST, absolutely MUST get club lounge access.
I want to give a BIG thank you to ALL the fantastic and hard working Ladies and Gentlemen of The Ritz, the club lounge staff, Shea and of course Mr Benzech for taking the trouble to see that everything was perfect for us.
I’m still eyeing up the banquet hall, maybe for a wedding LOL (mind you I have about 8 years to start saving for that!)
I hope pictures will be posted here I have 2 video’s on “youtube”, so do visit me on adrianjayonline for those. - Z1460MIadrianj
I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Toronto in a corner suite room for 6 nights in September 2022. The hotel was busy during the early days of my stay due to TIFF. Despite that, the staffs always managed to recognize me, talked to me, and sincerely were caring towards my purposes during the stay. They were always attentive and strived to make my stay more comfortable. A front desk staff, Kateryna, was always very attentive, polite, and friendly. She took care of me in solving some minor issues with my room, ensuring my safety with an incident in the lobby, and printing an important document late at night that eventually saved me a lot of time in my travel later on.
The room was luxurious and comfortable, with everything working properly. Mineral water were given generously twice a day. Bathroom was luxurious with a very important feature, an automatic toilet. Bedroom was homey and serene, inducing good night rest. The bed was a bit too soft for me but I still managed to rest comfortably.
Location of the hotel is excellent. Lots of dining options are available nearby. Theaters are also within short walking distance. Quite a number of unique and wonderful locally owned coffee places are within walking distance as well.
All in all, I would love to be back at Ritz Carlton Toronto in the future. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. - Fkristan

We decided to stay at the Four Seasons because of its location and reputation. We were not disappointed. The room was comfortable and stylishly well appointed. The food and service were great at both the Bar Lounge and the main dining room, Cafe Buloud. In particular our servers Lucas @ D Bar Lounge and Shay @ Cafe Buloud looked after us very well. The location was perfect as we could easily walk to all the places we wanted to go to during our 4 day Yorkville culinary adventure. - waynegm54
Had a fantastic stay as usual. I had stayed there for my 50th birthday with two friends in December and had a great time in spite of the fact that the city was in lockdown mode. Fast forward to July where I could finally have a party downtown and celebrate with friends and family. It was fitting that I spend the weekend at one of my favourite places on Toronto aside from my condo. I missed seeing Francis at the porte cochere, he always gives me a warm welcome. I did get to see him when I was back three weeks later, thank you Francis! Front desk wished me a happy belated birthday which was a nice touch. My Deluxe one bedroom suite was amazing of course, spacious and super comfortable. I would recommend it for families as there are two bathrooms and a sofa bed and did I say lots of space? Well I was traveling alone and had the whole thing to myself ha! I was unable to get a spa treatment as they were fully booked. A word of advice to book the spa early to avoid disappointment as they are EXTREMELY popular! I did go and enjoy the pool and had drink while I was at it. Brunch at Cafe Boulud was absolutely in order. Lizelle who is always lovely gave me a warm welcome and got me seated and Kulpreet who was new took really good care of me. I only knew he was new because I had never seen him before, his service and knowledge was impeccable, nicely done! Had a great time at Dbar as well lunch at DAzur, always great food, no complaints whatsoever. I went to visit Sonia in the gift shop who is always lovely. They were out of the bath scent I like and only had the smaller packets. She didn’t give up and called up to the spa to check if they had the larger size and they did, so I took my usual bubble bath with a book and a nice glass of red. Thank you again Four Seasons for a fantastic two days, as always I was in good hands and well taken care of! - Sipsster
The hotel is conveniently locate, has nice facilities, and excellent service. I have nothing but positive things to say about my stay and overall experience. If I am in the area again, I will definitely choose this hotel. - travel31221331

Andy at the front desk was so kind and helpful. Got us our room early and helped us so much. He is excellent.
The stay was great and bed was very comfortable. Great location. We were close to everything. - 651safis
I have been staying at the Shangri La Toronto almost once a month during the pandemic. It is my trip away from home known as a staycation.
I got to say, although I have stayed at all the 5 star hotels in Toronto, the staff at the SL really make you feel special. Albeit, I’m now considered a regular, their service never waivers, but they always try to maintain consistency with exceptional service.
From the valet with Marlon who is always helpful with charging our hybrid car or forgetting something in it, to the front desk staff from Viktoria, Dean and Willow in making checkin seamless, to the room service staff which are always so friendly and accommodating.
Now, I understand during the pandemic staffing at hotels have been challenging so getting assistance might not be as readily, but they do make the best efforts to make your experience memorable.
Lastly, the CNY/Lunar high tea was amazing. The dim sum portion was top notch. Kudos to the chef and staff. I’m still craving them and it’s been 5 days!
If you are looking for a stay in the city, come to the Shangri La. You won’t regret it! - Smilesandgiggles
I would go back to the Shangri-la Toronto tomorrow if I could. Despite a rocky check-in (they wouldn't accept my type of credit card for the check-in and wouldn't take a cash/debit deposit), the team was incredibly patient and professional.
I was there on a solo staycation, and can say that every convenience at this hotel was afforded to me. Every staff member knew my name and remembered the smallest details I'd requested, ensuring anyone else who was servicing me was made aware and I didn't have to repeat my request a single time (tipping well may have aided in that experience too, though)
The room, the facilities, the spa (fantastic spa btw), even from the valet, there was not a single moment where the team was not ensuring I had the highest standard of service.
Having travelled to other "luxury" brands in other cities, I was pleasantly surprised that my best experience was in my own home town. Definitely returning and will look to visiting their other hotels when I travel to other cities. - 294kebaw

Happily 1KW once again proved their excellence in friendly and effective customer service from the moment of arriving on the polished marble doorstep, even when that moment was around midnight. Reservations took great care to find the right room as described and to keep me in it throughout my separately-made reservations and it made my stay perfect! Just as perfect and important were Rachel and Jenny at the front desk. They made every effort to meet and exceed any expectations or requests and did so with resourcefulness and genuine warmth and caring. (Thank you Rachel for tracking me down, but actually cleverly solving things so that you didn't even need to!) Behind all is the best kept secret - Lazara- who is a magician behind the scenes and makes everything better.
Cleanliness is excellent and Cafe staff great, with lots of options provided. The only thing I miss is a pool, but guests told me they love the hot tub. The lake and city views make up for less water to actually splash around in and the hotel is close to everything! - M249CBcarolynb
I've stayed at One King twice this year. I orginally booked because the price was reasonable and the location was great. After staying there in April I returned because I was so impressed with the hotel. It is very well kept and clean. Both of my rooms had great views of the CN tower and city. The beds are comfortable, more on the firm side, which I prefer. I bought food and used the kitchenette every day for breakfast. Front desk and the bell staff are courteous and attentive. I found all the staff, regardless of if they were helping me, to be exceptionally kind. Whenever I was in the elevator with someone they would smile, greet me and strike up a conversation. The location is a short walk to the arena, train station, and there are so many great restaurants within minutes of the hotel. I loved going to the Daily Ritual Cafe (which is attached to the hotel) in the morning, grabbing a coffee and walking around the corner to Berczy park to people watching. Overall it's just solid hotel with great staff. I look forward to my next stay. - Skmoon
The best location in downtown Toronto, very nice building the historical and the tower for amazing views. The staff very helpful and friendly from the fist you enter the hotel Welcoming by Mathew to our luggages to level 39, h’s very funny and helpful guy and professional.
Thanks again to all staff at the front desk and at the bar and restaurant.

If I could give this place more than 6 stars I would. Before coming here and making a booking I researched extensively the reviews from other's of Hotel de Glacé. So many people have these expectations that it should be like a normal regular hotel experience, it’s an Ice Hotel and will never be like a normal hotel.
If you can get a booking into this place, you are definitely in for a treat. I could take a million photos and videos being there and still not capture the true perspective and experience of everything.
If you love art, design, engineering, culture, unique experiences, or want to check off bucket list items, Hotel de Glacé should definitely be on your list of places to visit.
My wife and I recently stayed in suite 23 on March 9, 2022. The suite cost $1005.00 for the one night. With this you get a huge room with fire 🔥 place and PRIVATE sauna and hot tub (spa). Some might say it’s a lot of money for. Hotel room. But It’s an incredible deal if you actually take a look at what you’re getting. People spend $1000 to stay at a fancy hotel, get a good seat at a hockey game or concert. Spending this amount of money is most definitely worth it. For the $1005.00 you are not only getting a suite in the Hotel de Glace, you are also getting a suite at the Hotel Val Cartier, which will act as a your back up room, change room etc.
The Hotel de Glace keeps the hallway lights on during the night, there is no secured doors for any of the guest rooms, the doors are just blocked off by curtains. To me all this is ok, during the night Hotel de Glace staff were walking around throughout the hotel.
All the staff I met were incredibly nice, and thankful we were there. You could tell they we’re proud they worked at the ice hotel given the uniqueness of this place. Many of the staff were happy to take photos, help with starting our fire, lifting the hot tub cover off for us, putting a chair in place to help accommodate my disability, making drink suggestions at the ice bar, and explaining how best to use the sleeping bag while in the ice hotel. Many of the staff were able to speak English and I never felt negatively judged for not being able to speak French. I will always remember what one of the staff members said after I said thanks for taking our photo, he said “no problem our guests are like royalty here”
The taxi fare was $66 one way from the Fairmont Château Frontenac. It’s important to remember that if you’re following your vehicles navigation system it will guide you to the previous location of Hotel de Glace. The Hotel de Glace location changed 4 years ago to the property of Hotel Val Cartier (so this is the place you want to put into your navigation system)
There are only two Ice Hotels in the entire world and Quebec Canada is fortunate to have one of them.
For an experience of a life time book this place it’s so much fun and you will have a life long memory to share with friends, I’m going to post a ton of photos to help you out. - AccessibleTravelGuy
I went to great lengths to get here for a day visit ($30) -- without a car, it is quite a pain to get to from Quebec City. A taxi will run you $70. If you go during a non-peak time (e.g. weekday morning), you will be able to find an Uber for $50 (but you must taxi back to the city, as they have no Ubers in Valcartier). Normally, there is a shuttle bus package via Vieux Quebec Tours but it is was cancelled due to COVID (but re-opens today, Feb. 5, 2022).
That being said, I am so glad I came here!! What a unique and special experience. Your day ticket allows you to spend as much time as you like wandering around the hotel rooms, bars, and chapel. There is even a little ice slide that I definitely tried a few times. There is currently no guided tour but that was fine with me, as there are information panels throughout and a short audio introduction you can listen to on your phone by scanning the QR code. From reading old reviews, it sounds like the day tours used to include a drink at the bar, so that was the only thing I missed out on.
Every year the hotel is constructed from scratch and tons of hours day and night go into creating the structure and then adding all the unique snow and ice sculptures and decorations. I loved that there is a room where you can see some of the equipment they use to create the hotel. They posted on instagram Jan. 30 that all phases of the building were completed, so I was lucky to visit after that. I guess you can still go earlier but certain parts will be under construction.
It's a photographer's dream here and really magnificent to see what can be done with snow and ice. When you need to warm up, you can go to the Hotel Valcartier and the adjoining building where there are restaurants, shops, washrooms, and a spa. Note that some are closed right now due to COVID.
You are required to wear a face mask inside the ice hotel. I would recommend bringing an extra face mask to change into afterwards, because after wandering around in the cold wearing an N95 mask, your breath will likely create humidity inside the mask that will freeze. So it's not very comfortable after you go indoors, when your mask defrosts and gets damp.
Reserve your ticket online ahead of time on their website. - TO-psych
Beautiful hotel built every year made entirely of ice. It has an ice bar, slide, and all the comfortable amenities you would expect from a lodging facility. You actually do sleep very well in your room thanks to an insulated blanket that keeps you toasty and warm. If you decide to stay there as a guest or visit the wondrous hotel as a tourist for the day it's truly a unique and magical winter experience for all to enjoy. - Passenger33120578611

This was our third time staying at Fantasy Land Hotel WEM. The first time we had the Alberta Suite, the second time we had a Space Theme Room and this time we went with the Superior Roman. While the suite and theme room were amazing and we had no regrets, they can be quite pricey, but let me tell you I highly recommend the Superior 'Themed' rooms (which are offered in Princes, Roman or Polynesian). They are only $15-$30 a night more than a regular Superior room (the cheapest rooms in the hotel) and yet they are pleasantly themed (well done). Lots of space in these Superior rooms, very clean, your floor is themed (hallways). You get the theme fun experience for a way cheaper price but get all of the services including 50% off mall passes. LOVED IT....AGAIN. Highly recommended for the resort high quality feel and of course the fun, unique experience and CONVENIENCE! - CuriousCanuk
Staff is really friendly and the hotel is right above the mall. If you are tired, simply go back up to catch tom Zzz, if you are ready just head down to the galaxy land to catch more fun. Overall hotel is clean and organized. But the price of the hotels sky rockets a couple of days before our trip and we didn't get to book the space theme... - sungyent

3. Blachford Lake Lodge
Let’s see how people review this hotel
We enjoyed the most marvellous three days here. The main attraction was to see the Aurora, a long held dream, and we were luck enough to see a wonderful display on our first night. It was quite wondrous and to see it in the absolute wilderness just outside our lodge was just perfect. We had more Aurora the next night though not quite as vivid or extensive but the Lodge offers much more. The three walking trails offer a wonderful feel of this remote area. By October when we visited most of the birdlife had migrated south but the walks are still great. The staff are excellent and the meals were hearty and fulfilling. And my highlight, apart from the Northern Lights of course, was catching (and it's all catch and release) 9 Northern Pikefish (one of about 20 pounds) in about 75 minutes on a fishing trip one afternoon, so don't let anyone tell you it's too late to catch fish in the lake in October! This is a "must do" trip and well worth the excursion north. You'll see a different, but a fabulous, part of Canada - gregh628
My son and his fiance live in Yellowknife and took us out to the lodge for 4 days. Winter is the optimum time to visit for the Aurora Borealis (Northern lights) viewing (as near continious light in summer). They will wake you up if you request. There are % predictions, but you never know when they will show and for how long. There is a Sauna (in the bush) and Hot Tub by the lodge. Track set cross country skiiing, a skating rink and hiking. Lots of skates, skis and snowshoes to borrow. Ice fishing is available. Snowmobiling tours too (including novice tours). The only way in is by float/ski plane - Twin Otter via Air Tindi. You can snowmobile in, or ski/hike if you are nuts ;-) All activities center on the lodge. There are 5 guest rooms in the lodge and a half dozen cabins; well spaced, but close. All rooms/cabins have at least a double bed and more bunk beds. They could throretically fit 4-8 people in each room. The cabins have electricity (lights and outlets), a sink with jug water, and a wood stove for heat. There is an (totally) odor-free compost toilet. The lodge is fully heated and has shared showers and running water. This is "Rustic Chic". The food is home style and excellent. They can accomodate special food needs. We had a Gluten-Free and a Peanut Alergy in our party. Always listed GF Options and "No Peanut" items listed for each meal. There is a well stocked bar in the lodge (good wine and a selection of single malts). "Art" and other activites for adults and kids. The staff are super-helpful and friendly. Most of the staff are from outside of North America. - Oakville89
Beautiful rustic lodge on secluded Blachford Lake. We live in Texas. We made a visit to Blachford Lake Lodge in July 2022. We have never been to Northwest Territories, Canada. We only had the online reviews to determine if we would make the 3,200-mile trip. So glad we did. Best vacation ever. the lodge's 5-star reviews were accurate. Amy was helpful and offered information as we planned our trip. We flew into Yellowknife and took the sea plane to the lodge. Beautiful views, peaceful and remote surrounded by nature. the small group of lodge staff were welcoming and very accommodating. The lodge was comfortable and clean. Tash wanted to make sure we were having fun and doing all the activities we wanted to do. David made us three delicious meals each day. Multiple food choices. All were prepared fresh and so good. We enjoyed the lodge's dining area. The views of the lake are unforgettable. the lodge rooms were better than expected. We saw beautiful sunsets from the room's large windows. The beds were comfortable. there were many fun activities available. We had much fun hiking, swimming, boating, and fishing. The hot tube and sauna were wonderful. We learned about native plants and made an incredible spruce salve. You can stay busy or just relax and enjoy the unspoiled area around the lodge. We loved seeing bald eagles and hearing the loons call over the lake. We loved everything about our trip and plan to visit again.

Seaplane ride in was special, you see how remote this place is.The staff are relaxed and professional, they adapt activities to abilities/wants/needs. Our tent with en suite big, warm sumptuous! The place is Magical with killer views everywhere! The bar and deck are the best we have seen amongst our travels with attentiveness of delivery first class service and variety of drinks!
The activities range is brilliant, we stayed a week and tried everything barr fishing as it’s not our bag. Lots of staff here have their dogs so it does feel like a home from home.
The remoteness is real we heli hiked to a summit and you can see the vast views mountains and river with the lodge and nothing else !! Horses are well looked after and riding the river bed is cool. Canyoning was a blast and at the end of each activity luxury awaits, food here is like eating at a mitchellin star restaurant we are taking recipes home! Spa and hot tubs are brilliant, along with private dining options too. These guys have it right for a delux remote break with luxury and quality thrown in. We could stay a year! - 517annmariea
Our wedding day and our stay at the lodge was the most memorable time of our lives.
We made terrific friendships, enjoyed marvellous hospitality and left forever changed by our experience.
If you visit Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, remember to remind yourself how lucky you are every moment of your stay; it won't be until after you leave that you realise how truly special a stay at the lodge is. - samanthamR5715UN
Words are no substitute for the experience. We are here for a Thursday to Thursday stay, and it’s only Saturday. There is nothing that we have experienced so far that has fallen short of our elevated expectations. From the wilderness outside our tent “door”, to the food at the Cookhouse, to the friendliness and expertise of the staff, to the leadership of Sarah, the GM - this is a place that provides indescribable enjoyment whether you are sitting on your deck watching the tide and the light change, or on a boat looking for bears, whales, porpoises, sea lions and otters (all of which we saw on yesterday’s 4 hour ride from the lodge to the Pacific Ocean via Tofino), or any of the wide range of activities that are offered. Thank goodness we have a lot of days left for things to do, sights to see, people to meet. This is truly a “bucket list” vacation.
Thank you Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge. We will miss you when we leave and so grateful for the time we had with you. - B4229CGjohnj

What an amazing place! My friend and I spent two nights in the Melody sphere and loved every moment. The space is so well constructed and thought out, and Tom was very thorough about explaining how the sphere works. The welcome basket was amazing! Bathroom facilities are more than ample, and the peaceful lakeside setting idyllic. Just an amazing place - stay if you can! - hbinnz
Staying 2 nights at Luna was one of a kind experience. The sphere was well designed and high quality like a custom build yacht (bench seat, ceiling beams, sink cover etc... ). It was also very roomy and comfortable so we listened music and dance.
Dedicated 3 pieces bath room was only 1 min away from the sphere. Walking with a flash light ( provided, but I brought my own ) to the bath house in middle of the night was also fun experience.
We brought many items (hair dryer, paper towels, cooler box, usb plug etc. ) but didn't need the most of them since they are provided. It might be a good idea to bring a lint roller for quick cleaning.
Tom and Rosie, thank you for your warm hospitality and great creation. - setonana
How special! The spheres are a unique vacation experience, set on a lovely piece of property, hanging in a private space surrounded by trees and built with ingenuity and expert craftsmanship. They are very clean and very comfortable. You have to see them to believe them. Rosey and Tom were wonderful hosts and most definitely added to the memorable time we spent there. Thank you! - Wander547449

A great historical place to spend a night or a few. Thank you staff for a room/cell upgrade. Staying overnight in a jail cell was such a unique experience. We stayed in a cell with bunk beds and it was surprisingly spacious for two people. The location is centrally located close to Byward Market, Parliament, and the shopping mall. The hostel also offers historical tours of the jail (join a walking haunted tour company if you'd like to learn about the ghost stories). Definitely would recommend staying here for the experience.
Parking is an additional $12 cost. The hostel will be closed from November 1 to December 31 due to COVID. - CarloFrancoCANADA

This was by far the most unique, coolest hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms all have their own special touch, there's the fun of eating in the dining car, and a converted lounge, as well as a coffee shop, souvenir store, and bar at the station, and an outdoor play area for young children. It was fun to explore and relax at. The town doesn't have a whole lot for a young family, but situated alongside the hotel is the TransCanada trail which makes for peaceful exploration of the area. - 532christab
Great meal with our family! The meal was prepared and served by a local family! Chef was excellent and service outstanding! Unique dining experience and we would definitely consider staying at the inn! - 358SusanM

My husband and I stayed in caboose number 5 on September 29 the. Our room was perfect and decorated with period items but had all modern conveniences. The washroom was spotless and had wonderful thick towels. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed eating our snacks in the cupola. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Steve's Rotating House. It is as cool as it sounds. Offering multiple views of the countryside/ocean during our stay was really fun. But the fact that this unique place spins is only one reason we loved it: our suite was so well thought-out, decorated, clean and beautiful. And the location is amazing, so close to the beach and great restaurants (a short, scenic walk). Steve has really thought of everything and is a charming, helpful host. We particularly appreciated the time he spend explaining some of the inner-workings of this engineering marvel. Highly recommended! - Extraordinary466230
Steve is an amazing host with an amazing property. The space was perfect and had everything we needed. The views were never boring and simply spectacular. About an 8 minute walk to the beach and or local harbor. We would highly recommend staying here if ever on the island. Perfectly located on the north shore with tons of places near by to explore and eat at. - pauloaL693TP
We booked out all four condos of the rotating house for a bachelorette party. Steve was super responsive and beyond helpful. The condos, apart from being beautiful, were nice and clean. Waiting two years for this bucket list trip.
Exceeded all my expectations. Newfoundland hospitality at its finest. From check in to check out always warmly greeted. The community host tour outstanding idea ! Aubrey was great!
The food from the morning coffee and fresh baked goods to the crab shack dinner outstanding. The desserts, presentation and the wonderful cod.!! Don’t miss the cod au gratin at the crab shack dinner. Which is a great idea for solo travellers.Felt at home even as a solo traveller.
Zita Cobb is a visionary can’t say enough about all there is behind the inns story, the staff the homey touches and the building.
Just fabulous!
Yes very pricey but so is airfare to Europe stay in Canada and enjoy this beautiful creation and community sustaining enterprise.
Loved it❤️ - joanne777
My husband and I stayed at Fogo Island Inn for 3 nights in early August. We've traveled widely but this was one of the most special travel experiences we've had. The Inn has a breathtaking location, the views from our room were spectacular and the food (3 meals/day plus a wake-up basket of fresh scones and coffee) was delicious (the best cod we've ever had). We did some beautiful hikes--and there was more to do than we had time for in our 3-4 days. One of the unique features of our stay was the afternoon we spent with a community host, who shared so much about the culture, history and traditions of Fogo Island. The staff and the people we met on Fogo were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. - 815nancyv

My family of three really enjoyed our time at Soule Creek Lodge. We did not experience any of the problems in previous reviews. Two staff members were present during our time and they went out of their way to care for us. The cabin was very clean, the bed and futon were very comfortable, the seating was plenty for four. There was a kettle, microwave, mini fridge, and keurig on site. (Keurig pods were caffeinated, I brought my own decaf and subbed it out.) There were several reviews that mentioned problems with the water, so we brought extra bottles, but bottles were provided and the tap water tasted just fine!
The chef made delicious breakfast baskets every morning: breakfast sandwiches, oranges, bananas, milk, oj, and rice crispy treats on the day we were traveling. He also spent several hours resolving a blown fuse that was my fault even though it wasn’t really his job.
Marianne was the kindest, most helpful person making sure we had everything we needed. One of us was ill, so we did a lot of takeout from the pub, so she got us a much larger trash can to make it easier for us to keep the place clean.
The most important thing were the views-just stunning. A really beautiful spot to recuperate and to explore!
(Just don’t be a goof and dry your laundry by hanging it on the balcony like I did. My husband had to go foraging to recover a shirt that blew over! Lol!) - 300SarahG
Stayed 3 nights in Pandora yurt - LOVED every minute of it, from pouring rain on roof to wild windstorm, to basking in sunshine taking in gorgeous view of coastal mountains and harbour. Probably the best part was Claude's generous hospitality. His hot breakfasts were five-star and his appreciation for the pristine nature + west coast lifestyle is legit. We've visited Pt Renfrew often for the raw beaches and hiking trails, but never had a more enjoyable outdoor experience than our visit at Soule Creek Lodge. - eatssleepsruns

We enjoyed our stay here, nice intimate/boutique hotel. The beds were super comfortable and lots of restaurants nearby. Only thing missing in the room is a fridge but overall was comfortable for a short stay in Toronto. The staff/service is wonderful! - rachelsE1271CM
This is a recently renovated hotel near Liberty Village they have done a lot to make the hotel feel both modern and old at the same time. The elevator is worth a visit and ride. The staff seem to know a lot about the history of the building. Worth a stay. - O3037BYdavidg
Was on a fairly tight budget and had to think long and hard about booking a room here, as "budget" this property is not. SO glad I stayed, however! The Gladstone, being Toronto's oldest continually occupied hotel ,was a lovely fusion of historic charm and sleek, modern decor. At one time the rooms were individually decorated (and most guidebooks still rave about it) but this has changed so the rooms are all fairly uniform as far as furnishings. The hotel is still a haven for art lovers, however, and has various works by local artists displayed in both the public spaces as well as the rooms. The staff at the hotel are wonderful -- friendly and accommodating. The small bistro offers creative menu options, and a plethora of bars and restaurants are in easy walking distance. Great hotel, great location, great people, what else could you need? Do yourself a favor and check this gem out! It's not often you find a property so lovingly restored, and a staff so dedicated to seeing their guests satisfied!
Quick tips that I'm too wordy to fit in actual tip section: Hotel has the original and amazing bird cage elevator. This must be operated by staff, and those gracious folks are always prompt and cheerful to get you to your floor. However, you may wish to book a room on the second floor and just walk up. Historic hotel often means smaller rooms as in the day, a bedroom was a room that fit a bed and that was about it. The studio rooms are charming, with plenty of storage but folks who like a lot of space may want to think about upgrading their room category. (I stayed in a studio, and thought it was perfectly fine, however.) Each floor has a different public area . Library and comfy chairs on 4th floor, pool table on 3rd floor, and cozy chairs and tables on second floor that's perfect for those needing some space to work. Lastly, although I indicated "family" it was just my college age daughter and I. I don't believe the property has any double bedded rooms. This hotel is very much more for adults than kids! - susanmS2512PO

Wonderful experience. Truly first class. Friendly staff. Nice restaurants with very good food. Interesting shops. Indoor & outdoor heated pools +. Very convenient to town and other sightseeing places. Highly recommend a visit to this unique historical hotel with renovated rooms - paulcB6604SH
My octogenarian mother’s long-held dream was to travel on the Rocky Mountaineer and visit old friends out west. I encouraged her to seize the day and planned a luxurious getaway for us both. We rented a Mercedes SUV from Calgary and set off for the beautiful Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel for a few nights, before boarding our train.
We generally never splurge on valet service, but the kid-glove treatment from the folks at the front came in very handy. A flight delay almost made us miss our dinner reservations at the lovely Swiss Waldhaus Restaurant, behind the hotel. They instantaneously parked the car, brought in our luggage and popped my disabled mom and me into a golf card to get us there comfortably and expeditiously. They even had a shuttle bus waiting, just as we were ready to leave. I kid you not, it was ‘Radar’ like service (for all you M*A*S*H fans)!
After our meal we checked in and were put into a ‘wheelchair accessible’ room outside of the main building. Despite my disappointment at being ‘off campus’ as it were, I tried to keep an open mind. Sadly, the room was underwhelming at the eye-watering rates necessary during high season at this landmark institution. Don’t get me wrong, the view was great, but the room satisfactory at best. The main issue though was the magical mystery tour to get there. Technically it was scalable with loads of time and perhaps an electric wheelchair or savvy/youthful aid, but I’d advise this extended wing be a better bastion for those quite able, fit and wanting a good amount of privacy.
By morning, we realized the gauntlet was too much to manage for every meal, as well as getting repeated access to hotel facilities and grabbing our vehicle. After a bit of discussion at the front desk about capacity issues, etc. manager, Emma (extraordinaire) stepped in. This is when you find out what Fairmont service is truly all about! We were elevated to an incredibly large and beautiful room that also had a jaw-dropping view. We were compensated generously for the inconvenience and all staff took great pains in making the rest of our visit absolutely flawless. Sure, it would have been great to avoid any hiccups, but they made it right and then some, immediately. I’m sure it took a bit of juggling, but when things go wrong, you really find out what a stellar brand is truly made of.
Of course, the facilities themselves are like something out of a fairy tale. This grand dame is definitely an experience that must be added to any bucket list worth dreaming about. The amazing views, grounds, restaurants, spas, pools, bar, golf course, common areas, etc., etc. should not be missed. The nearby village is its own little idyll too.
The rest of our stay was nothing less than perfect (and trust me, Mom’s not an easy lady to please)! I applaud the FBSH for their amazing responsiveness and for making lemons into the sweetest lemonade ever. It must be difficult to manage a hotel that size, whilst keeping everyone happy at peak season, but they accomplished that and much more. Air Canada can take a few tips from these professionals.
To that end, Fairmont has always been a favourite brand of ours and continues to be. They are a luxury brand and thus a bit pricier than some options, but worth every penny. Thanks to all the staff that went the extra mile and made sure this special trip memorable for my mother and I, for all the right reasons. Kudos to you all and keep up the fabulous work – my husband and I will be back to this and other Fairmont properties, as soon as we possibly can! - CKimoff
First time in Banff and at the Fairmont and it was a trip I won’t soon forget. Truly amazing experience all the way around and the hotel was simply magical. The hotel offers everything you need yet it is a short and beautiful walk in to town for a change of pace. - coreyl473

Peaks was a last minute find on the internet for us. We had made reservations at another hotel in Banff but after my wife found that you were new and offered better room rates we changed our stay to Peaks. Glad we made to change!!! - cmjohnston2111
This was our first time in Banff and it surpassed our expectations tenfold! The Peaks is located within walking distance to downtown with so many lovely places to eat, shop and book excursions. The rooms are not huge (ours did not have a desk, which was fine for us but if you need to work while you are here maybe look into that) but very cozy and well appointed. Our room overlooked the Main Street and had a small balcony that was great for morning coffee. Hotel staff is friendly, helpful and very professional. We enjoyed our weekend and look forward to coming back. - karengZ5589EL
Modern beautiful hotel. The suites and kitchenettes were super great when travelling with kids. They have below ground parking at an added cost of $19/day. They are a great location, just one street back from the main Banff strip. Would stay here again. - Chantale80

Remodeled Suite (we stayed in) with full size kitchen can accommodate up to 8 persons, 2 bedrooms/2bath (1 master) and a murphy bed in the living room, modern showers, clean and fresh liens, The appliances and cooking utensils are barely used. 1/4 of the cost of a nearby 5 stars hotel (in which we also stayed after to just experience it) and everything is superior than the 5 stars except the lake view. The 5 stars hotel costs us arms and legs and I don't think it's worth it. - OnAir280365
We stayed here as a family, we were lucky that we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom condo, which was amazing. It was just a shame we were only staying one night as we were not able to make the most of all the facilities. The evening meal was good, but the breakfast buffet was out of this world, wow what a selection, everything you could think of to eat for breakfast - matron68
This was unbelievable. The sun was shining which definitely made the reflection on the lake look like a picture. Fairly easy to get around . A place to go early in the day too as was getting busy as we left. - sallydavis1105

My Mum and I stayed at The Moose Hotel & Suites as a stop on our Rocky Mountaineer Train journey. Our room was on the first floor with a little patio of our own to sit and gaze into the sweetest courtyard ever! Looking up at the other suites and their balconies with its little lights, while smelling the clean, fresh, crisp evening air was heavenly! So was the glacial tap water - I wished I had brought a dozen hydro flasks to fill up before I left! After dinner we came back and sat on the comfy couches in front of the cozy fire in the lobby and relaxed before bed. We didn’t even see the amazing rooftop pool and amenities because we had to leave early the next morning, but I made a note to return here with my husband when we return to visit Banff. Also, the next morning we had the freshest OJ and the tastiest kale, apple, basil smoothie I’ve ever had (and I am connoisseur of green smoothies) at the lovely Italian restaurant inside the hotel. Our whole stay ended with a perfectly punctuated amazing breakfast that sent us off happily on our continued travels, rested, and happily satiated with fresh food and drink! This is a homey but elegant hotel with all the specialties, don’t think twice, just book it! - 230lianneh
This hotel is ideally located for a great vacation. It is right in the middle of Banff close to everything you would want to walk to including trails, grocery store, restaurants, bars, train station, liquor store and even the visitors center. The facilities are first rate including the spa, pool and hot tubs but the real asset of this hotel is the enthusiastic people who work there and run the front desk. There isn't anything they won't do to make your stay special and memorable for you. Give it a try and you will be impressed. - craigg200
I love this place, the room was fantastic with plenty of space and all of the hotel. Staff were an absolute delight to deal with. The guys from the bar were so helpful.

We stayed at the Canalta for four nights during our honeymoon whilst we explored Banff. The Canalta is an absolutely gorgeous hotel, and great amenities for guests. We were slightly early when it came to check in, but we were met by the concierge who asked about our trip and gave us recommendations, not only for Banff, but for the rest of our trip too.
The hotel has hot tubs, a cold-plunge pool, s’mores station, guest laundry and gym - breakfast was included in our rate and it was great with lots of options. As we were on honeymoon, we had a bottle of fizz in our room on arrival which was a lovely touch. We had a balcony which looked out onto the mountains, which was really nice to wake up to.
The only thing I’d comment on which was slightly negative was that there wasn’t anywhere in the room to hang any clothes; no wardrobe or hooks / hangers, so everything had to sit in our case. But, we requested an iron / board so no big deal.
Walk was about 20 minutes into Banff, just something to bare in mind - but no problem for us! All the staff were brilliant, too! - NicWetherell
It was our first time at Banff and it did not disappoint. Our room had a nice balcony view of a mountain where we had a morning coffee, the lodge was kind enough to gift us a bottle of bubbly, and although we didn't take advantage of the hot tubs, it seemed very inviting and they also had a s'more station for the fire pits. The hot breakfast was solid and the lodge itself was a 15 minute walk from downtown. There was plenty of free parking during the week at a nearby playground. The lodge was quiet at night and we got pretty good sleep compared to other hotels we've stayed at. The staff was kind and accommodating, it was a great stay. - RyanK3473
Friendly and accommodating. The staff and property is amazing and as a solo female traveler I felt safe. The property is cozy and perfect for that mountain getaway. Complimentary breakfast and nightly s'mores along with 2 outdoor hot tubs - lisanH1298NQ

Stayed at the Riviera. The front desk worker Garima was very helpful and accommodating and was able to assist me with my needs. Highly recommend staying here. Room was cleaned and presentable just like in the pictures. - 732jungj

I've been to Banff dozens of times and the Mount Royal is my favourite hotel by far. Extremely clean. Rooms are large, beds are super comfy and the views from the rooms make great pictures. Excellent location with friendly and effecient staff. Our appartment for the 3 of us was superb with kitchen/washing/dish washer. We were able to walk to some excellent restaurant less than 15minutes walk. - islanderalderney
We had a 2 night stay booked at the end of a 3 week road trip and from the minute we checked in at reception, we had first class treatment right through our stay.
We were even reminded that we stayed at the hotel exactly 7 years ago the exact same time!
We had 2 breakfasts booked and 1 night dinner reservation for the last night of our stay and the food and service was outstanding.
We had a lovely room at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road but with such comfortable beds, we had the best 2 nights sleep!
We were so happy to come back and stay at this lovely hotel and would always recommend to anybody wanting a stay in Vancouver. - L5495FZamandal
This hotel was mostly excellent. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. The location is great, and surprisingly quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and patient with special requests. There were some issues that the hotel could easily remedy. Guests access their floor by inserting a keycard in a slot on the elevator. A sign recommends removing the card “slowly.” It took us several days to realize that this was incorrect. I talked with other guests who also were having trouble operating the elevator. If you remove the card quickly, you improve your chances for success — in which case, a light flashes green. If you fail, the same light flashes red. This indicator is worthless for a guest like my dad, who can’t distinguish between red and green — the most common form of colour blindness. Another concern for older or disabled guests: there is no grab bar in the shower. - GiantPurpleOwl

This is definitely on the Top Five list of places we've stayed. The hotel is 1920s vintage, with a stunningly restored lobby and lounge. The details are beautiful, and the elegance of the place is warm - not intimidating. The rooms are completely modern with excellent beds, sparkling facilities. Even with all that, it's the staff that really shines here: from the front desk, to the cleaning team, and the concierge. Gerard at the concierge desk was astoundingly helpful and knowledgeable, just a great person. Yes, the Rosewood is not an inexpensive place, but if you're up for a splurge (we were celebrating our anniversary), it is really well worth it. - B5392VAjosephf
What a wonderful experience we had staying 2 nights at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia for our anniversary. Hotel was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Check-in was a breeze and they acknowledged our special occasion with an upgrade from our Premier Executive Room to a Junior Suite - Quite significant as it was double the price. The manager also had a complimentary dessert and welcome card waiting for us. Very nice touch. The room was awesome. Separate bedroom with small living room area/powder room. Master Bathroom was massive - awesome shower head. All of the staff were so polite and helpful during our stay, they really go the extra mile with service at the Rosewood - so friendly and hospitable. Valet guys especially were great! Room service breakfast was delivered hot and tasty. Checked out Reflections for a pre-dinner drink. Specialty cocktails were pricey but delicious. Looking forward to our next stay - hopefully for longer next time :) Book this hotel with confidence, you won't be disappointed! - Philsfan20
We stayed here for the beginning of our honeymoon and we were blown away by the hotel and staff. We arrived late after a long journey and we were delighted to find chocolate strawberries and champagne in our room on arrival. We ordered room service which was the best we have ever had.
We had a premier executive room and WOW, it was the most beautiful room we have ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, had lots of storage space, had very comfortable bedding, with lots of nice touches throughout the room and bathroom. The bath and shower were perfect, as were the double sinks. The Wi-Fi was fantastic and we appreciated the number of plug sockets around the room (as sometimes an issue in other hotels).
The food on offer was amazing throughout. We had breakfast at 1927 and dinner at the Reflections terrace. Both were absolutely delicious and immaculately presented. The staff and service were far beyond expectations and were exceptional.
The pool is relaxing and tranquil. Despite the hotel being fairly large, we always managed to have the pool to ourselves. The spa was fantastic and the staff - both the receptionists and the beauty therapist - were all so friendly and accommodating.
As first time visitors to Vancouver having a short stay, we were keen to fit in as many activities as possible. To that end, Gerardo the concierge was an invaluable aid to guiding us around the city and recommending places to visit and top tips to getting around the city. He was always friendly and professional, and we are so grateful for his expertise.
We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Vancouver! - BubAndWeeM

Wonderful experience. Hotel is in a great location, staff are very helpful and

bed and all amenities there. This will be our go to Hotel in Fort St. John!!
Congratulations to all the staff - you are doing an excellent job!! THANK YOU! - 424fraserb
We were greeted nicely by the staff, we were early for check in, but still were able to check in without issue. Room was large and very clean. All amenities in the room were in good shape and clean. Comfy bed, very clean sheets and no bad smells in the room. Room was quiet at night with minimal outside noise and no noisy AC unit. Overall extremely happy with the hotel and the staff. I'll look t stay here again next time I'm up here. - gregmO755VX
I stayed in a king suite that was spacious, quiet and well laid-out. Some hotel rooms that are larger look like they just are larger spaces that make no sense; this one is functional and well laid out.
The King bed was the most comfortable I've slept on for some time.
Nice little complementary basket of snackies to nibble on.
The hotel's breakfast area is kind of weirdly laid out, one long table right by the food, so I opted for a small table in the lobby. No big deal though. Lots of food choices there, enough to get you going ans then some. - FS593

From the moment we walked into the lobby we knnew we had chosen the right hotel. Absolutely faultless! All the staff are so professional, helpful and friendly. We were made to feel welcome from the first moment.
Our room, overlooking Robson Square was tastefully furnished, immaculate with high quality bedlinens and we loved the feature of the corner bath in the bedroom. During our stay we had a minor problem in our bathroom with a leak from the room above. This was promply repaired whilst we had breakfast and as a courtesy we were given a beautiful bottle of wine.
Breakfast choices were well. presented, extremely tasty and very generous portions.
Great care and attention has been given to the decoration of the hotel making it feel luxurious but comfortable at the same time. Particularly loved the fireplace in the lobby and breakfast room.
The hotel is centrally located in downtown Vancouver making it within easy walking distance of most places.

This is my second time at Oak Bay and it doesn't disappoint. Everything is top notch. Incredible spa treatments, delicious food at The Snug Pub, and Faro. The view overlooking the ocean and time spent relaxing in the pool and hot tubs. Excellent service from start to finish. An incredible place to get away to relax and unwind. After a wonderful two nights stay, there is not doubt as to why the hotel is so highly rated in Canada and globally. It has been the best experience I’ve had at a hotel of this calibre. Everyone on staff who we engaged with was friendly, helpful and competent. Exceptional and friendly service without pretension. The food in both The Snug pub and the Dining Room is outstanding. The rooms are well appointed and gloriously comfortable beds. We spent almost two full hours in the mineral pools which was a treat after a crisp morning waterfront run. Highly recommend staying here! - reindun

Ideal for a 24 hour Vancouver business trip. The amenities were excellent and I was treated extremely well. Waking up at the airport eliminates a massive amount of stress compared with staying downtown and having to wake up extra early to catch a flight. - jaredmH4911OM
I was travelling with my two young kids. No husband in tow and it was a very challenging experience for me.
I missed my connecting flight due to my first flight being delayed. Coming home from holidays my kids were over tired & missed their dad.
Long story short.
I needed a place to stay, I ended up at the elevator of the fairmont yvr with my screaming two year old & around the corner comes Naryan. Hero #1.
Instantly offers me a water and assists me onto the elevator while my son is still screaming.
He didn’t even ask if I was staying at the fairmont. He didn’t think twice about helping me. Amazing human being.
Once he assisted me to the front desk the tears started rolling down my face as I told him I didn’t have a room and was hoping they could accommodate. Which is when the lovely Jenny stepped in. Hero #2.
So calm, so supportive. Another amazing human being.
Grabbed me tissues. She Took control of the situation & I appreciated it so much.
While I was speaking with Jenny, Naryan quickly grabbed a box full of stuffed toys behind the counter and offered them to my kids. At that time, my son had finally calmed down thanks to Naryan.
My Long story short… isn’t so short anymore! I realize the importance of explaining my situation to really emphasize the appreciation I had and have for Jenny & Naryan.
The second my kids entered the room it felt like a huge weight off my shoulders. Their joy to see the runway and planes was incredible and quickly changed everyone’s moods. Mine especially. And that was all thanks to Jenny.
I worked at the fairmont waterfront from 2013-2018 and now live in beautiful Smithers, BC. But it reminded me why I loved working at the Fairmont. The people you work with was always the reason to stay.
Oh & The BATHTUB was hero #3.
There is No one Better then the Fairmont.
End of Story! - HenrySmithers
A fine resort hotel in a busy airport. Breakfast in the dining room was an excellent way to start the day with a beautiful view of the sunrise and runways with the downtown Vancouver skyline in the distance. Hotel had in September 2022 an in-house Covid-testing clinic. Only complaint is with the signage to the hotel from the international baggage-claim area - virtually non-existent which led to a more than half-an-hour hunt for the hotel in a deserted airport at 11:00 pm. HINT: Hotel is located at the far end of the United Airlines check-in counter for international flights to the US just as you enter the airport by car. SkyTrain station is just across the car-access road entrance to airport and hotel. - ciscokid23

The people are friendly and helpful , the food is excellent , the accommodation clean , the views from the rooms amazing. We have been going since 1982 and will continue to stay at Pacific Sands - V4211FBpaulad
We had a great experience at Pacific Sands. We stayed in a very nice and clean 1-bedroom suite. The kitchen was well equipped, so we were able to enjoy full meals everyday, as opposed to only heating up frozen pizza. The staff was super friendly and ready to help whenever we needed anything. The best part of it all though was certainly the fact that we were right in front of the beach; the possibility to jump in and out as we pleased, the sound of the waves, the sunset, sitting by the fire pits or in the hammocks and look at all the surfers do their thing… it was priceless :) - Cruiser447359

We stayed in one of the Rainforest Cottages over the Thanksgiving long weekend. The cottage was lovely and spacious. We appreciated staff checking with us each morning to see if there was anything we needed. The weather was amazing and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pits in the evenings. Had a very lovely brunch in the Great Room as well. - KLSweet
Our family Thanksgiving weekend at LBL (12 people, 2 cottages) was outstanding. The cottages are well equipped and comfortable, access to Cox Bay Beach is fantastic, and the firepits were an unexpected and very enjoyable bonus. Dining in the Great Room was elegant but relaxed, and the Thanksgiving menu was spot-on. Having the Surf Club so accessible is such a convenience for guests too. And staff were so pleasant and responsive. Well done LBL! We’ll be back. - seanandmichele2022
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the resort. The oceanfront rooms were amazing! Very clean, quiet and the bed was so comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the local coffee and French press in the room. We’ll be back! - Maps12671858870

What an amazing concept on every level, rooms, restaurant, activities and atmosphere. I only wish that I was staying LONGER 😎 And finally a staff that knows you can be professional AND fun, shout out to Tiff and Mack at the front desk for killin it!
Thanks! - U9675SRjeffw
What a funky hotel, it’s like stepping into an Austin Powers movie! We arrived here after 26 hours of travelling and were just happy to reach our destination.
Upon arrival the staff were so friendly and welcoming in fact throughout our whole stay all staff we encountered couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The restaurant was due to close shortly after we checked in so while my partner checked us in we were advised to go and order our food so we didn’t miss out. We both had the burgers which were incredible! The portion sizes were also huge.
We finished our food and went to our room which was fantastic. The room was a really good size and we loved the shower as it was powerful and huge. Little touches in the room like the fresh coffee press really made our stay.
It’s a good location and the beach is only a few minutes away. There is a free bus into Torfino but this finished quite early. We decided to walk back one evening, it took about 40 mins but was an easy, clear path to follow even in the dark.
The hotel is new which was really nice to expreciance, loved the vibe of the hotel and the hot tub is a must to visit!
I would recommend this place and stay again. - shannonbazil
After a mixup with an AirBnB reservation, Hotel Zed staff welcomed us with open arms at 7pm on a Friday night. What a huge relief.
Customer service was amazing and the room and hotel were fabulous for two seniors. So many good memories of the 70’s were relived. Dinner at Roar was delicious. Would highly recommend hotel and restaurant. Thank you to all the staff for taking good care of us and for the great time. We were very grateful to be your guests.

Room was perfect and beautiful with beautiful view. Great amenities! They took care of my needs and special consideration which I loved the most. Service is superb as they kept in touch via text messages which made me felt that I was well looked after. excellent location! Being a solo traveller without a car it was easy to get Tofino bus to get around the city and completed all the trails . Airport shuttle service drop and pickup from hotel made it super convenient. What a great first ever solo trip! - 660swatib
We had the best stay at Duffin Cove. The location is in a more secluded area. The staff were very friendly and professional. We stayed in one of the cabins and absolutely loved it! I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel. We will be back again. - breraemw
This hotel has the best view in Tofino, honestly speechless. Secluded while still being walking distance to all the best Tofino has to offer! It was beautiful, clean, staff were kind, service was great. We definitely will be back and recommending all our friends and family to stay here when they visit! - kkdonald

Had the pleasure of eating breakfast and lunch here! Food was out of this world! The staff was amazing! Big thanks to Tyler for being awesome! Big recommendation is the Lox bagel for breakfast! And the Ribeye for dinner! Next time we are going to try the family style special, as it looked amazing - FrequentFlier807404
Like the title says! You won’t be disappointed. Lovely rooms and having the ground floor was perfect so we could bring our bikes in to safely store. Easy check in with lovely staff! Quick walk into “town” for meals or shopping or booking an excursion. - swadejacket
We totally enjoyed our stay. The receptionist was friendly and extremely helpful. The room we were given had easy wheelchair access and the view was awesome. The suite was clean and bright. Thank you for a memorable stay. - 138brian

Middle beach lodge blew us away! We stayed for 4 nights in July with my parents and loved it so much that we have just booked a 10 night stay next year as a couple ( we have never returned anywhere before). We loved its relaxed feel, natural beauty and how it felt really secluded as it’s down the dirt track, yet it is in such a good location for walking or cycling into Tofino. The breakfasts were incredible, great cocktails and lovely dinners. It was the perfect location for our visit to Vancouver island- what an incredible island it is! We highly recommended the new cycle trail and our whale watching trips. The brewery and bars being so close by was an added bonus. We can’t wait to return from England next year! - loveshotsunnydays
We found this beautiful spot through Booking .com and what a find it turned out to be.
The location between the 2 beaches gives some choice for your morning or evening walk. The view from our balcony was spectacular and we could leave the window open all night and hear the surf on the sand.
The staff were fun and helpful for the most part. Most of them are young, on the island for a while and very casual and outgoing. Only one CS person was particularly unhelpful.
The room was small (180 sq. ft.) but we new this in advance. The amenities were basic but the bathroom was clean and there was hot water and wifi.
I hate recommending places I like because I'm afraid I may not be able to get a reservation if I ever go back. I guess I'm taking my chances.
The breakfast was fantastic and it offered a chance to speak with other gusts from other parts of the world. - italianwannabe2005
We spent three nights with the family in a beach house. The view and the location are wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfast on the patio of the main lodge and some drinks at night and sitting in the chairs on our front porch with the magnificent ocean in front of us. The rooms were clean and with enough space for the 4 of us. Kitchen was well equipped. The beach is very close and beautiful, especially during low tide you can explore the mussel beds and see hermit crabs. Close enough to Tofino but much quieter which we really enjoyed. The partially unpaved road is ok if you are in a car, I would not want to walk or ride my bike there during summer. - VogtR

So impressed! My group booked place for us and told us it was a beach front Best Western. We travelled with a puppy and were not looking for anywhere fancy just decent price and pet friendly. When I tell you I was breathe taken when I saw our view..... The view/ beach was pristine. The room was perfect for a group of 4 and puppy crate. - KritSmitty
You can’t beat the beach location. On very well kept grounds and all units facing the ocean the BW Plus Tofino is a great option.
Standard double Queen rooms are functional well equipped. With the tiny bathroom , I wouldn’t recommend to use the room with 4 . Microwave, Keurig and fridge working well in conjunction with the take away breakfast, which due to Covid is still the limited service.
Exceptionally friendly cheerful and efficient service , housekeeping wonderful staff added to making our 5 night stay very enjoyable - Hongkon
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent and varied breakfast, well organized.
Spacious, bright rooms with a nice bathroom, a view on the beach to die for.
Beds were very comfortable, ample cushions of various firmness provided, including a body pillow.
Bath and room were spotless when we entered.
Included amenities are amazing, real >high< speed Internet, Telus TV, good Wifi including 5Ghz (never had it drop). Keurig, toaster, hot water kettle provided, spacious mini fridge, whiskey glasses, Rowenta Iron, ironing board, Vileada broom and shovel, ample coat hangers and more.
Best of all, they have two EV chargers on each end of the parking lot.
The beach ... well, you got to experience it to believe how beautiful it is.
The blinds black out the room completely, not a photon gets in, very nice.
Balconies with comfy chairs, looking directly at the beach.
And many more amazing things. We were -again- blown away.
Thank you, TinWis! - johnczaia

Crystal Cove remains our go-to place for rest and relaxation. The resort is extremely well maintained and serviced. Fabulous beach walks are just steps from the resort. Highly recommend this West Coast getaway. - Lots2seeABC
Our family had an amazing trip to Tofino and we stayed at Crystal Cove right on the beach, amazing cabins for families with all amenities, and very comfortable. Close to all beaches, bike paths, and local grocery and eateries. 5 min walk to the famous Tacofino, and Wildside Grill. - ohcanada888
We rented 3 cabins this year for our 12 family members. This resort is outstanding. The cabins are clean, have ample dishes in the kitchen, are cozy, include a wood burning fireplace, a barbecue and ours had a hot tub on the deck. There are lots of amenities such as free firewood, daily towel and trash service. The site is nicely appointed and well maintained and includes a great playground for the children and easy beach access. I also appreciated the coffee bar in the main building for my morning latte. Also, all staff we encountered were both professional and friendly. - Dave-Faye

Amazing location, views, rooms, and amenities. After three nights we were not ready to return home. There is a sense of peace and restfulness at the Wickaninnish Inn that makes a stay here divine. The beds are soft but not too soft. The towels are fluffy. The room is a nice size and complete with large viewing windows to the beach, a cozy fireplace, large soaking tub and private balcony. - Trek294964
A lovely place to get away to...without sacrificing comfort and interesting dining options. A stimulating place for beach goers, surfers, plant lovers and hikers. At the Wickaninnish Inn, you can fall asleep to the sound of ocean surf. There are no traffic noises. A peaceful and contemplative location. - PVWestie
We have wanted to stay at the Wickaninnish Inn for years since I had read about it. It did not disappoint. Set on the rocky coastline of Victoria Island we felt we were on the edge of the world. We cannot fault this place. The location is outstanding, the staff welcoming and the ambience wonderful. Our room looked out over the ocean, and we watched the waves crashing in while the biggest eagle I have ever seen just glided by. True! Breakfast every morning was a delight. Friendly staff, divine view and effortlessly beautiful but in no way stuffy. You can eat at either The Pointe Restaurant or the bar and both were just fantastic. Really, we just didn't want to leave. - maker91

I wasn't sure I was happy about spending $360 (Canadian) for a motel room, but I chalked it up to high season (July), and Tofino's general reputation for being expensive.
When I pulled up, indeed this place was a motel, and I prepared myself to be disappointed.
However, when I walked in, I was quite happy with what I found!
I booked the "Harbor View Kitchenette Suite". It was surprisingly nice. There was a separate bedroom (with a door that closes) with two twin beds, plus a king bed in the main room. As the name stated, it also had a kitchen area with a stove and microwave.
The unit also had its own balcony, with a beautiful view of the harbor!
Overall, the place was quite large, and I really liked it. It really had a high end feel to it. I forgot I was even in a "motel" until I walked out the door.
It's also located right in the heart of Tofino, so you can walk to a lot of shops and restaurants, many of which are open until 10-11pm.
The only thing I disliked? There's an obnoxious 10am checkout time. Way too early. Checkout should never be before 11. I did get them to make an exception and let us check out later, however.
If I ever go to Tofino again (it's a bit off the beaten path), I will definitely book that same suite at the Tofino Motel Harborview! - pokerpro05
Easy to find, almost at the start of the town when you come in. I love the balcony on second floor, great view of harbour and flowers. The room is very clean and modern. Comfy bed. The little details matter, like real cream for your coffee in the fridge and pump hand soap that smells like lavender. Staff and check-in were great. - lisep2018
My wife and I spent a week in Tofino and stayed here on the second floor in the kitchenette suite. The room was clean and comfortable, the kitchenette had everything we needed and the view is amazing to sit and have lunch from. It’s located literally seconds from town and also only a short drive to the local beaches. We were able to walk into town everyday enjoy all the local shops, tours and Tofino life. I would stay here again every time! - MitchstG

My husband and I stayed at OV for 2 nights, July 2022. The cabin was wonderful. meticulously clean with modern finishings. The bed was comfortable and quiet to sleep. There is no AC or TV in the cabin. The Wi-Fi was strong and we were able to watch Netflix easily on our devices. We had unit 45 which is direct oceanfront. It was a great view and honestly with the ocean out in front of you, who needs TV! We walked the beach, watched all the families (and dogs/pet friendly) play in the water. Tofino gets quite cool after sunset so we had no trouble sleeping without AC. Tofino is a cool little beach town with some great restaurants, hikes, water activities. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at OV and Tofino! - Canadianmom218
We had a great time here. The staff were super nice and the cabins were super cozy. It's right on the beach too, and super close to the town. Definitely worth staying here! Between being closer to the beach and the town it is a great spot to stay at! There is also a pool and hot tub which is great. We will be back again. - WilsonLin
We have been coming here for decades. There is nowhere better to stay in Tofino. Very relaxed atmosphere and beautiful in rain or shine. There is a nearby expensive grocery if you forgot anything but mostly staying in the cabins playing games and reading is the mellow approach. There were some brave souls swimming and surfing but we were content with leisurely walks and family time - AHB007

The setting for this fantastic lodge was amazing…with beautiful views watching the sea planes take off and land. It’s very well presented and equipped. Extremely clean but homely…. The locally sourced & made touches were greatly appreciated. Communication was prompt and helpful…. Highly recommended. - katkha
Great stay everything was as advertised We were in unit 1 nice cottage close to the hammocks and sauna. It would be nice to have a clearer view of the ocean but it might be an environmental concern to trim the trees . Regardless it was relaxing sitting on the deck with our wine and watching the mist roll in . - tammyk842
The Shoreline continues to be our go to spot in Tofino for family vacation. The room variety and amenities make it perfect for a large group. And the sunsets in the evening from back deck are spectacular. We’ll be back again next year. Don’t forget to ask Sean for carb pot and do the fresh crab feast. Crab Lady is just a short walk away from Shorline. - 448damien
