Bali is one among thousands of islands that make up the republic of Indonesia. In the midst of the most populous Islamic country in the world, this small island has remained predominantly Hindu. In short, whatever you want to do, you will probably find it in Bali and you can easily spend a month here and still only see a fraction of the sights on offer. The hardest part of a holiday here is choosing where to go first and what you want to see. Things To Do Island Hopping Island hopping when in Bali is an absolute must – and luckily, some of our faves are just a hop, skip and a short boat ride away. Just 40 minutes from Bali’s mainland you’ll find Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan and our favourite, Nusa Penida. It’s one of Bali’s most breathtaking islands, with pristine landscapes that look like they’re straight out of Jurassic Park. Hike to the Top of Mount Batur Sunrise hike up Mount Batur is something we highly recommend (and not just for the delicious breakfast you get at the top!). The hike only takes a couple of hours, and it’s not too challenging, meaning almost anyone can do it. Explore the Island With Go-Jek Go-Jek really is a godsend. We can’t remember how we ever survived before this all-in-one app fell from heaven. Wild Water Sports If you want to take your water sport experience to the next level, then Bali is also a great place to try kitesurfing, windsurfing and parasailing. Must Eat While in Bali Babi Guling - Suckling Pig Babi guling, or suckling pig, is one of Bali’s most famous dishes. It is very unlikely to find this dish outside of Bali since a majority of the population in Indonesia are Muslim. The most popular place to eat babi guling is at Pak Malen in Seminyak. Naughty Nuri's Naughty Nuri’s is a Bali legend. They first opened in 1995 in Ubud and became known for their Indonesian barbecued pork ribs and martinis which the late great Anthony Bourdain famously declared the “best martinis outside of New York”. Chandi Bebek Betutu Bebek betutu is another Bali food classic. It’s a special Indonesian dish of steamed Balinese duck heavily seasoned with an Indonesian spice mixture called betutu.

This sleeping pad is 3.2 inches thick and is a combination of a protective layer, insulation layer, and design layer.  Customer review: I purchased this pad as a backup for my Big Agnus. I go on a Colorado high country hunting trip every Sept. I compared the 2 side by side and have some information for others if interested. Cost The top quality pads are traditionally around $200 but this pad is half of that. Also, this pad comes with an inflation bag. I had to purchase that separate with the Big Agnus as you can see the orange inflater bag is from Sea to Summit. Weight Gear Dr (GD) - 16.8 oz Big Agnus Q Core SLX (BA) - 17.6 oz Size and Shape As you can see, the GD is a little longer and has more of a mummy shape. It also packs down a little smaller. Take into consideration that I have used the BA many times before and that the GD is new and we all know things are smaller new as you can never get them back into the original packaging. Noise This is always the challenge with UL pads. They may be super light, but they sound like you are rolling around on a snare drum. I had the NeoAir pad in the past and it was light as could be but too noisy for me. The BA is slightly quieter and it has a softer feel to the touch. I have not slept on the GD pad yet but in my initial comparison, it does not seem to be significant. Nights on the pad will tell. Considerations and Opinions The BA pad has the ability to inflate it and push a value to let air out a little at a time. This allows easy adjustment to your preferred comfort. The GD pad does not. However, I under inflated the GD pad and then just added air a breath at a time and this was an easy fix. In my opinion, I think this pad will be great for back sleepers. The baffles are left to right. I prefer up and down baffles as (at least in my head) this helps me from rolling off the pad at night. Overall, I really like this pad and plan to test it next month to see how it performs in the mountains. I was not able to rate the sleeping comfort at this time but by initial assessment is positive. I prefer a slightly under-inflated pad to over-inflated for my sleeping comfort. Beginners traditionally inflate to max fill and then the pad is more like a trampoline than a sleeping pad. I made this mistake early in my backpacking but not anymore. Overall, I think this pad has a lot of potential. It's less than half the cost and lighter in weight that my current pad. For the younger cost conscious back sleepers out there, I think this is certainly an item where you can save a few bucks and still get a good UL pad. The cost to weight ratio is excellent. Take the money you save here and put that toward a better bag or quilt. This may also serve the side sleepers out there... Time will tell as to the quality and durability but the company has a lifetime warranty. Overall, I would recommend this purchase and have recommended it to others that are going on the trip with me this Sept. - John Paulson  Price: 99.95

You can also find large, culturally relevant, and diverse events on your city's official website. Join Your Local Online Community Find a local online community and join their events. Meetup.com allows you to join different communities by region, interest, and date, and receive notifications of various events organized by them. And because they are dealing with locals, not tourists, you can get in touch with the daily activities and people of the area. Go to a Performance Center If you like art in all its forms, look for a local performance center! Whether it's the National Concert Hall, Centennial Opera House, Community Playhouse, or Live House, they all have a range of events on their schedules. If you have time, attend one!  You can get to know a place better from a cultural perspective. Find a Class! You're kidding! A class to go out and have fun! Yes! And you won't regret it. Find a topic you are interested in, search online for a class near you, and take a fun class!
