Tips to Keep Your Cash Safe and Sound on the Road
Tips to keep your cash safe and sound on the road.
The travel companions I met on the road once asked me:
How did you travel to this point?
In their eyes, I was a confused, nervous, and poorly remembered traveler, and it was a miracle that I survived. Because I know my confused nature, I am more careful with cash and passport when I travel.
I prefer longer trips, so I can't help but bring more cash with me.
Invisible waist bag
Many people will do invisible pockets, I'm really afraid of trouble,
plus hands are not very dexterous just give up!
I did not buy a special invisible fanny pack, but directly to my running in the use of a small fanny pack to use, without spending more money and the right size. A small fanny pack is super practical, take the night train or stay in a hostel when the cash with the "waist" to carry is also very secure.
I usually put most of my cash inside when I'm out and only carry small denomination bills for the day in my small handbag.
Some people say to prepare fake wallets to give to criminals when they are robbed, but I didn't prepare them separately, after all, I don't have much money in my real wallet!
Split the money to spread the risk
Separate the money into different locations in your fanny pack, carry-on bag, and backpack (suitcase).
If the hotel has a safe, you can also put a small amount of cash in the safe, so that even if some of it is stolen or dropped, there are at least other first aid available.
I have also seen travel companions put money in socks (new socks inside the backpack).
Behave in a low-key
Included manner and dress as much as possible to blend in.
Although it is difficult to hide your identity as a tourist (how can you hide it with a backpack or a suitcase), there is no need to show off that you are rich and a fat sheep.
It is best to dress simply when going abroad, especially to places where security is not good, the more tycoon you dress, the easier it is to become the object of covetousness.
