5. Reminders of Him: A Novel
"Reminders of Him" is a gripping story of one woman's desperate quest for a second chance. A troubled young mother yearns for a shot at redemption in this heartbreaking yet hopeful story from #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover.
Reader Review:
For once I actually thought Colleen wasn’t going to make me cry. I made it about 320 pages and the floodgates opened.
Someone asked me the other day if Reminders of Him was a romance. With most of Colleen’s books, they’re typecast into romance but to me, it was just a novel. Not just a novel but romance wasn’t the center of it. It’s a story of tragedy and growth and forgiveness. Yes, there is a relationship and an HEA but for me, the HEA is with the entire cast of characters. An ensemble.
As with all of Hoover’s books, I recommend going in blind. It’s filled with grief, has plenty of humor, and will leave your heart warmed. -DragonflyReads

6. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo: A Novel
Evelyn Hugo is finally ready to tell the truth about her glamorous and scandalous life. But when she chooses unknown magazine reporter Monique Grant for the job, no one in the journalism community is more astounded than Monique herself. Why her? Why now?
Reader Review:
My God, this woman can write!
It's all here: scandal, honesty, brutal words, delicate words. Sentences that take your breath away. Definitely not a beach read, but a book with great depth. -Kindle Customer

7. The 48 Laws of Power
The 48 Laws of Power is a book by Robert Greene that you should take a look at. This book offers readers a set of groundbreaking strategies for outwitting, outmaneuvering, and outplaying their opponents in a world where brute force is no longer the most effective means of control.
Reader Review:
This book has controversy, but most of it stems from reviewers that believe all people are good inside and unicorns deliver their vegan low fat cappuccino with cream. Well, most people aren't kind, and this book prepared me for reality. It doesn't teach one to be self absorbed or evil or a heretic. It teaches one to stand your ground and to protect yourself from taking unnecessary burden, unfair treatment, and manipulation from corrupt people. -PingJockey

8. November 9: A Novel
November 9 is a love story about what happens when one person comes back into your life, and changes everything. It is the story of a woman who moves across the country to “fix” her little sister’s life, only to realize that maybe she herself needs to be saved.
Reader Review:
I know you either love Colleen Hoover or you hate her work. I am in the love category. She is one of my favorite authors. I have been trying to save some of her books to read for when I am feeling slumpy, so I had put off grabbing for November 9. When I heard she had a new book coming out I was excited, not only for the new book but to be able to grab one of my unread books.
I loved the beginning and how our characters meet in the restaurant. I also loved how this went beyond just looks and how Ben sees the true beauty in Fallon. I was smiling the whole the time I was reading this book…up until the plot twists. Then I was reading with my jaw dropped, and then came some tears. I loved this!
This was another amazing read from Colleen Hoover and I just need more! -Kelly C.
