"We stopped in after visiting the barber shop across from this bakery, they treated us to a piece while we were there and we had to give this place a try! Baklava is yummy, the lady who served us patiently explained the sweetness & flavours since it was our first time buying these sweets. Can't say if it's better than other places because we haven't been to other bakeries yet, but for newbies... we're happy with the quality!" - Angel C.

"First time coming here. I tried many times before but the time was not updated and whenever I would try to go in it would be closed. Now that I know their schedule I will go more often and bring my friends there too. The staff is friendly , they currently have a patio open which is nice due to covid and after corona maybe they will allow indoor seating again. It is a nice bakery in Ottawa south that also offers gluten free items ." - Amster S.

"Omg! Chippers Bakery has huge cookies that weigh half a pound each cookie!! And they are delicious! And they have cool flavours! I was so excited to try Chippers and I was not disappointed. Cookies are $3.50 each, but if you buy 6 you get a 10% discount (only applies to walk-ins, not pre-orders). I got 6 cookies: Ube, Strawberry Shortcake, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Vegan Apple Crumble, Red Velvet, and Oatmeal Apple Walnut. I really wanted to try the Root Beer cookie, but they didn't have any the day I was there :( Nonetheless, the ones I got were all delicious. They were so soft and full of flavour. I loved them all. However, if I had to pick my top favourites from the ones I got I would say: Vegan Apple Crumble, Strawberry Shortcake and Ube. They have been open for about 6 months, so they are a relatively new business. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bakery is very small, and there is no seating whatsoever. "THESE ARE SPECIAL. Who doesn't want a giant cookie? They have a lot of flavour varieties and a discount for walk-ins when you order half or full dozen. Chippers does have delivery too though. We loved the original chocolate chip and the butterscotch toffee WOW. Did I mention that they're half a pound each lol (I got the scale out to be sure). Super nice staff too." - Morgan P.
