"Best gelato in Rome! Comes with optional hot fudge in the cone and different flavoured whipped cream to top it off. The fiordilatte is a must. I am not a huge fan of sweets/desserts but this was worth the 55 minute walk."—Yaping D.
"I feel like this place often gets a bad rep among the plethora of gelato placed in Rome because it's a chain. It's not located very close to the city center however so it's far from those tourist traps."—Veronica L.
"The BEST gelato in Roma (period)! There's always  out the door (great indication) and staff are fabulous to help those (tourists) that need assistance in ordering.  Six (6)  worthy!"—Christopher P.

It all started a long time ago, back in 1878. Silviano Venchi was a 20-year-old from Turin who loved chocolate so much that he spent all his savings on two bronze cauldrons. He started experimenting with chocolate-making first in his apartment, and then in a small place on Via degli Artisti in Borgo Vaniglia, Turin.

"There was a long line, and it may be a bit touristy, but the gelato was fantastic- perfectly smooth and creamy. They had so many delicious flavors to choose from, along with some fun options like chocolate dipped cones and chocolate filled cones (do this...you are worth it!) We loved every bite!"—Christy S.
"It's sacrilege to visit Roma and not have Gelato or Sorbetto! I mean c'mom even Apollo and Minerva loved this Italian treat... and the greatness about life is you don't have to be a goddess to lick it! Ooooh Sophia!"—Eric R.
"I came here on vacation to Italy. This is a chain gelato store. Plenty of flavors and reasonable prices. The trick to good gelato is to make sure the gelato is not piled too high or else it's not authentic gelato."—Alice W.
