"AMAZING gelato! This was the best gelato of our entire trip to Italy and was well worth waiting in line for. But my husband did get the "Nutella" flavor and it was pure Nutella, not Nutella flavored gelato, so just be aware for that." - Taryn M.
"Pay 1st, get your ticket then head back to the gelato counter. Know what you want, they get busy and annoyed if you aren't ready" - Patrick B.
"Amazingly delicious salted caramel gelato! Easily best gelato I've had in all of Italy" - William S.
Contemporary renovation of a traditional space, repurposed to serve freshly made gelato.
"Delicioso. We liked it so much, we went back the next day. Being around the block from our hotel doesn't hurt either." - Sam L.
"One of the best gelaterias I've had in Rome or Paris. Got the black cookie and stracciatella" - Lauren C.
"This is the best Gelato in Rome in our families opinion. We spent 3 nights in Rome recently and visited this place twice. Small location, not too far from the Forum and Coliseum. The owner was incredible nice and patient. Each size cup/cone could include up to 3 flavors of the creamiest and tastiest gelato. Flavors from Lemon Basil, to Peach to Nutella to Rum Chocolate. All were delicious. If you are visiting the Forum and/or Coliseum, take the extra 5 minute walk over to Gelateria dell' Angeletto. You will not be disappointed." - Pam A.
Great ice cream, for those of you who are looking for unique flavors. Lots of vegan options.
"So yummy, and the woman who served us was very kind. Definitely recommend going here!" - Alison P.
"Such a wonderful gelato shop! The flavors are so unique, I had the Cremino nocciola con cremoso scuro a strati + mango - random combination but I wanted a chocolatey flavor and a fruity one - and a cannoli. Gelato was creamy and so flavorful. And the cannoli was surprisingly yummy, I devoured the whole thing within a few minutes. The gal working, not sure what her name was but she was pretty young, was so sweet and took the time to chat with my boyfriend and I. We had a great conversation and I think that really topped off my experience here!" - Katrina F.
"Not the closest to our hotel, but worth every step to get there! Gelato was outstanding! We went there three times during our four days in Rome. The gelato there was a highlight of our trip." - Jennifer S.
It's all about the ingredients here at La Romana. The sorbets are composed of nearly 50 percent fruit; meanwhile, organic eggs, milk, and cream comprise the traditional crema flavors. The standout here is the white chocolate tiramisu atop a milk-chocolate-filled wafer cone.
