"Traveled to a work conference and stayed in the French Quarter - needed to find a spot for a drink and dinner... as a woman traveling solo in New Orleans... I was thrilled to find The Will and the Way (thanks Yelp!). Walked in, trendy/alt vibe, super welcoming. Cool chalk board quotes on the walls. All the seats inside are at the bar or at a long counter so it's perfect for solo travelers. There was also an outdoor courtyard with tables. The bartenders were really kind and suggested the Mezcal cocktail called the Sleepless in Siesta, which was mezcal, peychaud's aperitivo, grapefruit, lime, and orange bitters. Super delicious! I decided that I liked the vibe so much that I stayed for dinner. I ordered the Louisiana Hot Chicken, which came with Yellow Corn Grits and Swiss Chard - incredibly good. Not too spicy, just the perfect amount of fried, and honestly the Swiss Chard was SO GOOD (I don't usually like cooked greens). I devoured the entire plate and ordered a side of fries because YOLO. Great place, would absolutely come back. Definitely 5/5 for solo travelers!" - Maggie R.
"This place was just what we needed. It's steps from Bourbon Street, but tucked away in its unique little space. The drinks were delicious and not overly sweet like most of what we had in NOLA, and our food was delicious. Think elevated Asian bar food: pickle plate, loaded fries and sticky spare ribs." - Ashley H.
"Welcoming bar and staff. Will definitely return. Asked the bartender if she could make me a mock tail and she knocked my socks off. My only complaint is that I didn't ask her what it was called. Loved all the chalkboard paint and writing and overall very cool and chill vibes. Music was also on point. I was bummed to leave at closing. Truly an oasis among the busy New Orleans party fest." - Lateef A.
Quirky, mural-lined hot spot luring locals & tourists with Creole soul food; just expect a wait.
"Not only was the food insane but the service and vibe were superb. They gave us comped shrimp and alligator cheesecake to try for the table and it was phenomenal. I've never been treated like royalty at a restaurant before. Best dining experience ever and great food. Highly recommend!" - Alexis M.
"such an awesome vibe, great interior, love a place with an exposed kitchen the Alligator Shrimp Cheesecake and New Orleans style BBQ shrimp were INSANE, must orders. Excited to return" - Hannah R.
"Super delicious! Try the fried grit cakes and the backend drum. Sat outside and enjoyed every bite." - Heather S.
