"After trying for years to get reservations it was super exciting to finally get a table (we got it via waitlist and would recommend the same).  Not going to go course by course as stated many times the food is spectacular, with each course extremely well executed.  The couple of things that really stood out: duck liver macaroon and dashi were above any other variations I have had in the past.  My biggest complaint is I did not get more macaroons in the take home dessert.  The service was friendly and interactive and made you feel right at home.  Will definitely come back assuming I can get reservations again."—Erik L.
"Still the best of the best! I actually think n/naka deserves a 3 Michelin star given the quality of Michelin star restaurants in LA (very low obviously). Best service, best food (both taste and the presentation). Love this season's menu, everything was pretty, besides my all time favorite abalone pasta, we tried this scallop yesterday that was very delicious! "Every single bite was absolutely divine and delicious. From the outside it's unassuming in the middle of a neighborhood. Super quaint inside with 5-6 tables in total with nobody at the bar as it looked closed. Everything I ate was scrumptious and was so full at the end but had to finish everything. "I'm not originally from LA but this was one of the places that caught my eye when I went to Little Tokyo to tour around. This was also my first time trying out Okonomiyaki and to be honest, I am glad that I did. The food was amazing. I definitely would go here again with my friends and family. For the price, you get a lot of food. Service is not bad as well."—Arthur C.
"I was curious about this place. The okonomiyaki I feel like was alright. I've had better ones. The takoyaki was pretty good if you like the inside to be a little more running/watery side. I feel like the price for the food is on the more expensive side, but I wasn't quite impressed by the flavors of the okonomiyaki. "I went with the classic, and was grateful that they were more than accommodating of dietary restrictions and were willing to make the okonomiyaki vegetarian by excluding meat, and even asked if the fish powder was okay for me or if they should remove that as well. It was definitely something different for me, but the crispy noodle with the egg and cabbage and sauce was a really delicious lunch. Everyone I was with loved their meals as wel."—Daniel B.
